This week’s feast for your senses.

READ

  • I have some good news to share with you about some of the most popular textiles right now. Vogue Business published an article about the origin of man-made cellulose-based fabrics like rayon and viscose, and over half of the global supply is no longer coming from endangered forests. Read on in How fashion is distancing itself from deforestation.

    • “That’s an indication, says Canopy founder Nicole Rycroft, that the market signal for sustainability is moving the supply chain in the right direction when it comes to forest-based materials — and that there’s less excuse for fashion brands to ignore potential connections to deforestation.”

WATCH

  • This is a watch + DIY moment. I’ve recently gotten into making things with air dry clay and polymer bake clay. I have some clay left over from projects and needed Christmas present ideas and Katie Bookser’s Easy DIY Air Dry Clay Projects | Minimal Aesthetic had some perfect projects! I’m considering making the vase, which I especially like because it also upcycles a spice bottle and I can tell that I’ll have some empty bottles soon!

LISTEN

  • My absolute favorite Christmas album of all time is Ella Fitzgerald’s. I’ve been listening to it every single year since I was very little. My mom used to play the cassette in the car on the way from our house to my grandparents and no holiday season for me is complete without it. Let her throaty voice wash over you with Ella Wishes You a Swingin’ Christmas.

TASTE

  • I was toying with the idea of making mulled wine as I decorated a Christmas tree and I found a promising recipe that I wanted to share with you. This mulled wine recipe seems simple and quick - the perfect accompaniment to a festive evening.

in good cheer,
