Sunday Brunch Round-up | Nov 22-28th
This week’s feast for your senses.
WATCH
It’s the holiday season! I’ve slowly kicked off my Christmas movie watching and last night I watched Happiest Season on Hulu. It’s truly a star-studded cast, but it will come as no surprise to you that Dan Levy’s character is my favorite. His comedic timing is perfect and it’s nice to see a Christmas movie without just the usual heterosexual tropes — Christmas is for everyone.
LISTEN
I was interviewed for a podcast! You can read my post, with the podcast embedded and resources linked, here or you can go straight to Spotify to listen to me discuss Creativity, Community and Intersectionality for Sustainable Solutions with A Little Bit of Lagom. Please let me know if you learned anything new or what your favorite part is!
TASTE
Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite veggies to roast. Typically I roast them with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder and then grate fresh parmesan cheese over them, but last week I wanted something a bit different. After some searching online, I came across a Sweet & Spicy Brussels Sprouts (Roasted) recipe. They turned out so deliciously! I even made them for my Thanksgiving feast (of one)…and will probably make them again tonight.
If you live in NYC, this is one for you. Thyme Bar has to-go cocktails and rather than being packaged in those plastic to-go cups, they’re packaged in glass bottles! Beautiful labels on the front of the bottles are the perfect icing on the cake. If you’re looking to enjoy your typical bar cocktails, safely and sustainably, Thyme Bar is a great choice. Take a peek at how beautiful the bottles look in my recent Instagram post.
SMELL
How do you feel about the fresh scent of pine? If you love it like me, I’d recommend you pop over to your local Trader Joe’s and pick up a small pine wreath or bunch of pine boughs, for under $10 each. I already have sprigs of pine throughout my apartment and the small wreath is leaning against the wall on the top of my dresser in the bedroom, sweetly fragrancing my room.
in good tidings,
