Thinking ahead to your road trip this summer? (Or is that just me?) Well, Eco Warrior Princess has a great guide on ensuring your trip is as green as possible! From packing your reusable to driving with the windows down, some of the tips will be ones you’re likely already doing and others will be a great reminder of how to take your love of mother Earth to the next level.
Speaking of mother Earth, you have to check out these brilliant urban constellations by the artist Clarissa Bonet. They’re a beautiful reminder and reflection of the similarities between our planet and the space it inhabits.
WATCH
One of my favorite categories of television is cooking shows, but it’s getting harder and harder to find cooking shows that focus on the actual cooking more than the made-for-tv manufactured drama. The perfect show that is fitting the bill for me right now? Guy’s Grocery Games! Contestants are talented and pleasant, Guy Fieri is a great host, the twists and turns are entertaining (like watching chefs have to cook an upscale meal with only $30!), and because it takes place in a “grocery store” (set, I’m assuming, but a very good one), it feels accessible and inspirational for me. Catch episodes on Food Network or Hulu.
TASTE
Being stuck at home has me actually making all of the recipes I would usually just save for a distant ‘later.’ I came across Saba Iranikhah on Tik Tok and planned to make his chicken and yogurt recipe for date night this week. And guess what? I actually made it and it was so good! Find the recipe on his Instagram.
SMELL
My cousin is a New York City-based interior designer and she also sells home goods and accessories like the pillow tuck & throw (perfect for the couch or a guest room) and candles. I recently ordered a massage candle from her — as the candle melts the oil that pools can be used on yourself or a partner, plus they smell amazing. I have the Scrumptious, a grapefruit scented candle, is burning as I write this!
SHOP
The holiday season is over, but if you’re looking for a one-stop sustainable and earth-friendly goods online shop, then look no further than Made Trade. Being restricted to stay in my house has brought my nesting desires to an all-time high, and I’m particularly captivated by their rugs and bedding.
in joy,
