Climate Actions for Each Astrological Sign: A Guide

A guide to find your home in the climate movement through the lens of astrology.

It’s Time to Act on Climate

Now is the time to act on global warming and its impacts on humanity’s way of life. Later is too late; we need to curb our greenhouse gas emissions and prevent further warming. As we look to the stars and dream, we must reimagine how we relate to our home. We need all hands to work on solutions together.

News stories about our planet’s increased global warming and what that means for accelerated and more devastating extreme weather events paint a grim picture. From the news that we repeatedly hit and then exceeded the hottest days recorded in human history, to sobering reports on the state of our global freshwater, and the potential collapse of the Earth’s mechanism to distribute heat energy there is no doubt that we are entering a new age of humanity. As fires still rage in Los Angeles, months past when the traditional wildfire season takes place, there is much work for us to do together to address accelerated and alarming overheating.

You don’t have to know the details of the science to be part of the solution. And if you wait until you know everything, it will be too late for you to do anything.

2025 Astrology

In recent weeks, subscriptions and readership of the climate events newsletter I write every week have exploded. New Yorkers are eager to act and they’re eager to do it in community. I was in a reading circle with Debra last year reading the powerful anthology All We Can Save. Debra is an incredible astrologer; breaking down the intricacies of the cosmos in a relatable and practical way.

The astrology for 2025 predicts it’ll be hot! Saturn and Neptune will be shifting into fiery Aries and all of the Mercury, Venus, and current Mars retrograde will be in fire signs. This means there will be lots of fire and heat in the sky! Get where I’m going with this?

  • With Saturn and Neptune bringing the heat, Uranus and Pluto are going to create rapid dispersion as they enter Air signs.

  • Previously when we had Uranus in Taurus (an Earth sign) we witnessed devastating earthquakes during periods when Uranus formed intense transits. On February 6th 2023, an earthquake in Turkey and Syria happened right after the Leo Full moon squaring Uranus. Another example was the 2021 earthquake in Haiti that happened when Uranus was again in hard aspect (T-square) to the Sun and Moon.

  • This isn’t to say every time Uranus is in a challenging aspect an earthquake will happen, but it gives us insight into the kinds of natural disasters that may be more likely to happen.

  • With all the outer planets shifting from Earth and Water signs into Fire and Air we can expect not just more fires, but more widespread fires.

Astrology can also give us insight into how best to combat these natural disasters. Aries shows we’ll need to get inspired, passionate, and to start bold new initiatives. Gemini will be highlighting the need for community, supporting local businesses, and connecting with our neighbors.

The outer planets don’t change signs frequently and its super rare that they’re all changing at the same time initiating new 8, 14, and 20 year cycles. These lengthy cycles emphasize that this isn’t a sprint, but a marathon that will require sustainable practices to strengthen our endurance.

We created this guide to help you find your place in the climate movement and we’re so happy you’re here. Grab your notebook and jot down what calls to you. Let us know in the comments if you’re interested in additional resources to get started on your journey.
